Ramesys partners with Intrinsic Technology
Specialist education systems integrator, Ramesys, and converged solutions provider, Intrinsic Technology, have signed a framework agreement for Intrinsic to design, deliver and support infrastructure solutions to Building Schools for the Future (BSF) projects awarded to Ramesys over the next five years.
The agreement is worth in the region of £20 million to Intrinsic and will see it become Ramesys’ strategic partner for all converged and unified communications solutions including LAN, WLAN and IPT.
Mark Hoyland, Ramesys chief operating officer, said: “Ramesys’ success is built on developing strategic partnerships with specialist service providers and building long-term relationships with them. Intrinsic and Ramesys have already laid the solid foundations for an excellent business relationship.”
Gregg Spooner, strategic business director, Intrinsic Technology, added: “The partnership between Intrinsic and Ramesys is a perfect combination. We are like minded companies, similarly sized and both with ambitious growth plans for the future. Intrinsic already has a strong foothold in the higher education and further education sectors, however, we are keen to expand further into the secondary education arena, and our partnership with Ramesys will ensure we achieve that expansion.”
The BSF programme is a government initiative aiming to promote a change in the quality of the nation’s educational provision. The idea is to create world class, flexible and adaptable teaching and learning environments compatible with the 21st century. Key to the delivery of this vision are high quality and integrated information communications technology facilities built on secure, resilient and future proof converged infrastructures.
Ramesys and Intrinsic Technology are already working on BSF projects for Manchester, Waltham Forest, Nottingham and Westminster City Councils. <
